Day 5: I started day 5 by declining to clean (225 lbs) and squat (330 lbs) and headed directly to the Athletic training room for an ice bath. 15 minutes later I put on my collegiate appparel and went out into the sun and Memorial Field, our stadium.
I had a good strech and went of to eat lunch with a couple of the freshmen Dbs. The cantina is simply awesome – All you can eat and a huge variety of different foods like sandwiches, salad, pizza, burgers, pasta, rice, tofu... I could go on. I have started to bring my playbook with me everywhere and pop-quizen myself to help me get the plays down. I decided that this day would be different for me – that I would do better than yesterday. I need to be able to focus on playing football instead of alignment, cadence and routes.
